By Rik Rösken The German book, written by Dagmar Andres-Brümmer, is published in 2003. Currently, it can be named as the first and best practical learning guide in freediving, that is produced in north-Europe. Originally developed by the VDST (CMAS) courses in freediving, but finally published for the broad public. The book exists of nine chapters, respectively about: the history, breathing, fysiology, the equipment, static, dynamic and depth disciplines, yoga and finally a chapter about sea mammals. During each chapter, it also discusses in short safetyprecautions. The chapter about the depth disciplines doesn't consider the deep diving as in competition freediving, not illogically considered the philosophy of VDST and the CMAS. On the other hand does it present specific yoga techniques who are used with these deep dives as Uddiyana Bandha. Subjects who where not discussed in comparable books this far.Meanwhile the book offers less information about training preparation and training philosphy compared with Umberto Pelizzari's book. The book with its many pictures and drawings, forms together with the courses a freediving education program seemed to be not excelled by any other organization in North-Europe.
