By Rik Rösken Lake Competitions is a documentary that is produced by freedivers for (starting) freedivers that will start diving in lakes. The video is written for a public that knows some basic things about the sport and is very interesting for starting freedivers following a course, of for freedivers who transfer from diving in sea to diving in lakes. The documentary handles about the differences between sea and lakes, the things that surrounds a depth competition, safety and the discipline of static. This is done on such a level that many freedivers will learn from it. It was a notice that with the competition only the discipline constant weight with fins is presented, and also on the swimming pool disciplines only one, static, is shown. Otherwise, this presentation does gives the documentary the chance to go deeper beyond the level most documentaries go about this sport. The movie is a different kind of documentary, compared with others, and it brings freediving in a more pleasant, objective, light. For divers who are planning to go to dive in open water, this is absolutely a videotape that is worth to buy. More information: www.apneaplanet.com
